Who are we?
Culture Tug is an Issaquah-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of street theater and street arts.
Like a small but mighty tugboat, the name "Culture Tug" reflects our purpose: gently advancing street arts in the Pacific Northwest. We do this by producing free public events, supporting new works by artists, and building partnerships that foster innovation. We focus on free outdoor programming that encourages engagement and showcases creativity.
Mission
Culture Tug highlights performing arts and artists through free festivals in pacific northwest public spaces. Our mission is to bring joy, playfulness, wonder, and imagination to communities by moving theater outdoors, elevating street arts, and making performance accessible to all.
Vision
Our vision is to foster a movement of artists dedicated to bringing performances out of doors and into the streets. Inspiring the joyful celebration of arts, and performance in public spaces, such that encourages eyes to grow wide, jaws to drop deep, and hearts to burst open.
